I helped Managed grow from a new proptech startup to a leading property management platform now handling over $3 billion in transactions across 300+ Australian agencies. The clean interface I designed let them establish themselves as the go-to solution for automating rental payments without trust accounts. Today, the platform supports 100,000+ users, processes $100 million monthly, and has completed over 553,000 tasks.

About Managed

The founders of Managed had trouble with previous designers who couldn't meet their high standards. I was tasked with creating UX/UI solutions that would finally match their vision.

Managed simplifies property management by streamlining daily tasks and transactions. The platform lets rental funds go directly to owners, eliminating the need for reconciliations and end-of-month processing. Core features include automated workflows, transactions, forms management, and a tradie marketplace.

Design Process

I mapped out user journeys for each type of user - property managers, landlords, tenants, and service providers - to find the critical touchpoints.

I created wireframes to establish information architecture for complex workflows including property listings, lease management, maintenance requests, and payments.

For the interface, I built a clean, modular system with consistent styling and clear visual hierarchies. Key interfaces included a property dashboard, action center, payment system, and role-specific views.

Post-launch features

After launch, I designed the Tradie Marketplace, which connects property managers with service providers. I focused on making it easy to request quotes, schedule work, and process payments all within the platform.

I also created the Property Inspection Tool that lets agents document and track property conditions with photos and detailed notes. The interface is simple to use during inspections and generates professional reports that help reduce disputes between tenants and landlords.

Other post-launch features I designed include 3rd party loan integration, Wallet and payment settings, global search functionality, an enhanced Action Centre, and the Agency Revenue Summary dashboard. Each addition maintained the clean, intuitive design language while expanding platform capabilities.
