Melbourne University Publishing
Ecommerce • 2024-2025
Melbourne University Publishing needed to upgrade their ecommerce platform while taking opportunity to refresh their website design. The project was received very well by client which sped things up for the process. My design modernised their online bookstore with cleaner layout, improved book categorisation, and enhanced mobile experience while maintaining their academic prestige.

About MUP and My Process
Melbourne University Publishing (MUP), established in 1922, is Australia's first university press and one of the oldest respected Australian publishing companies. They needed a more modern, mobile-friendly website that would showcase their academic, historical and literary publications while making online shopping easier for customers, all while incorporating new branding they had recently created.
With extensive research of other university presses in Australia and popular online bookshops, I quickly created multiple design concepts that accommodate both user and client requirements. I have expanded their very basic branding guideline into a complete design system. The updated site features better organised book collections, clear pathways to different imprints like Miegunyah Press and Meanjin, better navigation, larger book covers and redesigned news and events area.
